I wanted to create an upcycled collection using the tents and sleeping bags that are left behind at Glastonbury Festival for consumers who enjoy camping; creating warm and waterproof garments in a sustainable way.
I started brainstorming brands/designers I could create this collection for. I initially thought of brands such as The North Face and Patagonia that specialise in the sale of outerwear, fleece, shirts, and equipment such as backpacks and tents.
However, I wanted to create this collection to introduce a new, unique line for a brand that doesn’t specialise in camping/outdoor wear to further develop the company. I therefore chose to design a collection for H&M A/W 2021.
I began developing military features of holding possessions into the clothing, taking inspiration from silhouettes from military clothing, whilst also including details to benefit campers.
